According to some, you have to have a certain IQ to fully understand the political world.
I think that’s ridiculous.
Like everything in life, becoming political informed takes works. It takes focus.
As long as you don’t have any serious mental handicaps, you’re capable of understanding politics.
I don’t know if this “not smart enough for politics” view is an external barrier or a self-imposed one.
I hear people talking about how stupid certain political groups are. But most politically active Americans want more Americans to join their group. So creating this external barrier doesn’t make much sense.
A self-imposed barrier is the most realistic. Heck, we do it all the time.
In my guide to becoming politically informed, I mention a girl who maintained this self-imposed barrier.
She said how smart I must be. All because I’m “into politics.”
I fought back on that assumption.
The only reason I got into politics, becoming so “informed” on it all is because I found it interesting. I wanted to get into it.
I didn’t have to pass an IQ test to get into the club. In fact, there was no test. It was all in the field learning. Learning from my mistakes, and researching how to avoid others.
That’s what my guide helps you do. Become politically informed through practice and learning.
No test needed. No superb IQ standard required.
